Bernard Chidzero has over 28 years of experience in management consulting, investment advisory and consumer goods across Africa, Europe and North America. Bernard has led strategy consulting practices for major international firms in Europe (Arthur D. Little International) as well as Africa (the Monitor Group and Deloitte Consulting). Following Deloitte Consulting’s global acquisition of the Monitor Group in January of 2013, Bernard became a partner in Deloitte Consulting and was a co-leader of Deloitte South Africa’s new strategy practice – Monitor Deloitte – with responsibility for Monitor Deloitte’s growth in Africa. Before joining the Monitor Group as a Partner in 2004, Bernard established and led the International Finance Corporation’s Advisory Services for Sub-Saharan Africa, where he helped increase the corporation’s investments and development impact in Africa through the provision of advisory services. Prior to his time with the IFC, Bernard co-founded the International Capital Corporation (ICC) where he managed a team of 30 staff members providing management consulting services in corporate strategy, private sector development and investment to a mix of corporate, government and development cooperation clients in Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and beyond.
Bernard holds an MBA (IMD Lausanne) and a Bachelor of Business Studies (University of Zimbabwe). He is fluent in English and French, and has working knowledge of Portuguese.
